We have the scoop on movies set to shoot in Massachusetts – The Boston Globe
“Daddy’s Home 2” director Sean Anders isn’t the only one who’ll be yelling “Action!” this spring.
We’re told there are three movie projects and a TV pilot that’ll begin shooting in and around Boston in the coming weeks. Despite Governor Charlie Baker’s attempts to kill or curtail the state’s generous tax credit program for TV and film projects, Hollywood isn’t hesitating to set up shop in the Hub.
In addition to “Daddy’s Home 2,” which stars Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell and begins filming this week, CBS is gearing up to start work here on a pilot for “Perfect Citizen,” a legal drama from “Good Wife” executive producer Craig Turk. The show centers on a former National Security Administration whistleblower who embarks on a new career at a storied Boston law firm, and finds he’s celebrated by some and reviled by others.
